Three generations of pastry chefs, taverna owners and restaurant managers, hold all the secrets to good, homemade, delicious Greek food. And keeping up with the tradition of Greek hospitality, the Kanaris family is sharing the knowledge at their beautiful, seaside bed and breakfast with visitors who are up for the challenge!

Day 1Depart from Athens and enjoy a 2 hours drive to the southern part of Evia, the second largest island of Greece. Upon arrival, your hosts, the Kanaris family, will extend their very warm welcome to their premises. You will be given your keys and escorted to your room. Once settled, put on your bathing suit and enjoy an orientation walk of the area. See where the family grows their fresh fruits and vegetables, the farm where the ostriches are kept and finish your tour by the beach. After your swim, meet Makis and enjoy an introduction to the art of Greek Cooking. Make your own tzatziki and eat it at dinner along with other delicacies that Makis will have prepared ahead of time. In the afternoon, help Mr. Konstantinos to collect some vegetables from the garden and then join Makis for the first session of the Greek Cooking Masterclass: Learn how to make your own "dolmadakia", rice and herbs wrapped in wine leaves, Greek meatballs, the famous "Keftedakia" and have them at dinner that same evening served with home made local wine.
Day 2After a delicious breakfast, join the local fisherman on a fishing adventure. Whatever you will catch that day, we will cook together later in the evening. Delicious fish soup, grilled octopus, and “shrimp saganaki” are some of the dishes we’ll teach you how to cook. We will also take you to a lovely hike along the path that joins two villages to enjoy the typical Greek scenery with olive trees and vegetable gardens surrounding you along the way. The walk ends at a small cove right by the Aegean Sea, where we’ll enjoy a Greek style picnic. Afternoon Greek Cooking Class and dinner
Day 3Today is the day to learn how to make “spanakopita” and “baklava” from the best! The walnut trees of Evia island are famously delicious, and the local version of baklava features them as the main ingredient. While the spanakopita and the baklava are in the oven, we will visit a local cheese factory, learn about famous Greek FETA cheese and also about different local cheese and yogurt produced in the area. We buy our cheese and we cook it and eat it at lunch in many different ways- fast easy and absolutely delicious… After lunch we are ready to depart for Athens. On the way, we stop at the award winning "SEPTEM' micro-brewery. The two brothers who own the company are aspiring to "flavor your day" by having a different label for every day of the week. Join us and have a taste of their products including Sunday’s Honey Golden Ale, AWARDS Quality award “Gastronome 2013” – Drink of the Year! Arrival back to Athens Hotel and Overnight
