And in looking back through my travels for the last 45 years, I find that I have visited 79 countries with various tour companies, both on land and sea. Katia from Inspiration Ventures is by far the best guide I have had the pleasure of meeting and working with throughout my years of traveling abroad. She was available any time anyone ever needed assistance and answered every question without a moment’s hesitation.

My husband and I arranged for a 2 week custom tour of Greece with Maria Mavrelli and INSPIRATION VENTURES Greece and were amazed at what they were able to put together for us. Every day was an adventure as we toured the country, stayed in boutique hotels and spent time at archaeological and cultural sites, and extra places we were interested such as Meteora and the Corinth Canal.

I have been to Greece at least 14 times in the last 45 years and yet I continued to learn more about the country due to the expertise of Katia Mavrelli. She is a walking encyclopedia of Greek history, myths, customs, foods, politics, culture, etc. I was continually amazed at her knowledge and grasp of what people were interested in and how she explained each subject or question so that everyone would understand.

For 18 years I have led sacred site tours and meditation retreats through many countries, including South Africa, Egypt, Israel, France, the US Southwest and Greece. As a tour guide she innately knew when to share her extensive knowledge of Greek history, myth and geography, and when to give us our private space.
